Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes)
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop 1.5 tablespoon portions onto baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers look soft.
- Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
