- Cream softened butter and sugar for 3–4 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Slowly mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until dough forms.
- Wrap dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness. Cut into shapes.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are barely golden.
- Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
